- How you describe your own Personality and Persona.
A passionate, strong-willed and independent woman at heart and an HR professional by profession. I may not be a quote within a quote, but I truly believe that Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away. I have always been an achiever; be it academics or professional life or sports or any other field in my life. I believe in success through hard work & dedication. My motto in life is to ‘If you want something, work hard & you will achieve it; there are no short cuts.’
- Your Achievements that makes you feel high.
When you talk of achievements a lot of memories come to my mind.. When I was selected as the head girl of my school, when I represented India at the Harman Folklore festival in Turkey, when I was selected from Gujarat to meet the honorable PM Dr Manmohan Singh on the issue of tobacco cessation, when the hours of burning the mid night oil resulted in me graduating from a premier B school and landing a good job in an MNC. But what make these ‘achievements’ really special is not just how they made me feel , but how they made my parents feel – PROUD. Every time I am able to make my parents feel happy and proud , those are the real achievements that I gun for.
- Define the true beauty.
I believe that every single thing on this earth is beautiful in its own way, but not everyone sees it – and hence it does not have one true form. The moment you try to define it you limit it, and true beauty is limitless, infinite. For a woman I feel that the most beautiful thing she can wear is her confidence. For me personally, when I lay my head at night and I can say that I was a decent person today, that’s when I feel truly beautiful
- Do you consider yourself to be a giver or taker?
I feel that receiving is good , giving is better but sharing is the best. Giving and receiving love makes life beautiful, they are two sides of a coin. When you give to others, you receive joy. One cannot exist without the other. Its only by sharing that one truly grows… So I consider myself both.
- What is your favourite Idea of Holidaying?
While I love travelling and ensure that my husband and I take time off work and visit one new place every year, a perfect holiday for me is at my home , in the company of my loved ones, my family . Because for me my family is not just an important thing – it is everything.
- Why you are participating in Mrs India Earth?
When I hear the word Queen, the thing that comes to my mind is a woman is not afraid to fail, one who wears her scars like her medals and one who looks at every failure as a stepping stone to glory. That is how I lead my life as well. It’s a platform that celebrates the beauty and marvel of being a married woman – the triumphs and the positivity associated with it. It offers one a chance to represent India at an international platform. A shot at being in a list with such august company, is not one that I would want to miss.
- What do understand by Global warming and how can it be reduced to save earth?
Hurricanes, earthquakes. Tsunamis are all Natural Disasters. But Global Warming is one disaster that we cannot fit into that category. We have only us to blame for it. There was a time when it was a future threat. But now its a glaring reality that is staring us in our faces. And we can either let it engulf us or we can chose to do something about it. One sure shot way of making a difference is by looking at cleaner and renewable forms of energy to cater to the needs of this every evolving growth
- The Quote or saying that encourages you?
“Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away” – I am sure participating in this pageant is going to be one of those moments in my life
- If you were selected as a Charity Ambassador what Value addition would you like to make for our Society and how?
I would like to focus on women’s education which is unfortunately still in a lamentable state in our country. When you educate a man you educate a man, but when you educate a woman you educate an entire generation. What is currently lacking is the awareness regarding its importance and that is where I would want to concentrate my efforts on
- Why do you think giving back to society is important?
For a society to be complete and whole, it should be based on peoples concern for one another. There is nothing more rewarding than giving back and the only way we can truly rise is by lifting others, especially those that are less fortunate than us.
